this link: http://www.v-a.com/bible/jesus.html will lead you to an explanation to the meaning of jesus's name, which means 'life giver' (ea' shoa in aramaic). i wonder if god and jesus are the only one who have the power to create life. also, i believe that god, in all his person, was giving and generous and gracious enough to create us in the first place, giving us a chance to exist. by this act alone we should praise him, not to mention his death for our fall. (which is giving life also). perhaps even in the destruction of sodom and gomorrah, or in the great flood, god somehow was giving life. any thoughts are welcome. Tweet
