Att: Tracey & others - Stones, Acid reflux & zantac

Hi Tracey

Regarding your question about stone size, first 7mm, then 1.7 cm and lastly 8mm, I would like to clarify that 1.7 cm means total of stones. I asked the technician about it. He told me that he has tried to collect all of them at one place and in total they come to 1.7 cm. That is why the last ultrasound shows minimum and maximum sizes 5 to 8 mm. These appear to be very tiny stones. What is your opinion, whether they will pass out easily.

If the function of the zantac is acid reflux, then I differ with doctor's diagnosis. The patient becomes half doctor. I don't have heart burn or acid reflux problem in my opinion. Rather I have gas, which is different to acid. The production of unusual gas is creating problems in the abdomen and its pressure is upward. It caused some pains in left shoulders. I went for ECG. It was okay. It is sometime causing headache and blocks ear. I got my ear checked by ENT specialist, it is ok. Its pressure is also towards mouth, whereby, I feel something comes in throat and I have to swallow it again and again, thereby drying my throat and causing cough. I have to check with the doctor whether zantac also works in case of gas besides acidity. Can you suggest something for controlling this gas. It is causing too much problem. I have started taking probiotics and will let you know the result.

You see I am confronted with so many medical problems.
