I agree with the both of you, and I think that it is so wonderful to hear people coming together to look for a peaceful solution rather than trying to make someone see it your way...or else.

In a philosophy course I took at college not too long ago one of the first things I learned was that we need to question our everyday values and assumptions. Looking at my generation I see that not many people my age have the want and desire to do this. It's just so easy to let the media and the government tell you what to do,what to buy, and what to believe. We act out of pure emotion, not fact based analysis of a problem.

Conformity to something because it's what you've been told is true without question, or because you're scared to leave the herd is what is causing a lot of problems in society.

Remember...you can't learn anything with your eyes closed!
