Eye exam and triglycerides

Hi folks. Today during an eye exam to get contact lenses, my optometrist examined my eyes and suggested with some concern that I get my triglycerides checked. I told her I would but didn't give it much thought. Now I'm wondering: "Is there something I should be worried about?" What can an eye exam tell about triglycerides? Has anyone familiarity with this condition? Thanks. Tweet
