Re: No wonder they are losing their audience

very well written and i have no disagreement sort of. the anti war movement you spoke of did profit from the web there is no doubt. i would argue that the anti war movement of the 60's did an even better job(at least in this country)with out the web. things were different then. i dont think people are any more informed about the war in iraq, just better informed how to organize protest marches.
i am a Conspiracy theorist in the sense that i am truley open to all theories about our govrnment.(or anything, really) my theories might be much different than most. i felt for years that the main stream media was very biased about many issues including their reporting on politics. the lean to the left was riddiculed by almost all in the media. murdoch got the idea to give news from the right and look at the ratings. now many are decrying that they are the bush network. maybe both are towing official govt. thinking but it shows that the perception that people had about the msm was so strong that when fox showed up they left. that didn't make the msm go away. the msm started crying about fox just like they're crying about blogs.
as for current governments not representing 'the people', i think it is a stretch to say that any one has a rational reason for trusting or not trusting a government. just because the internet is there once again does not mean that the trust or distrust is well placed. all the information is subject to everyone's predetermined mindsets. that means that whatever anti war people see, they will believe. whatever pro bush people see, they will believe. what makes any one groups info correct.
