Re: The Trouble Tree, Sent by Owen

I wish all of us could actually do this.
May it be so.

I remember days of my childhood where dad didnt do this, hush! your father is sleeping you all have to be quiet kids!
He would get very nervous, while my mother was not that type, she was jolly most of the time.
One time when I was young, my mom and dad were working under the hood of the ol chevrolet wagon ( i think ) you know the kind with the v-6 or v-8 and a huge horn...
And my dad was under the hood, my mom backed away and I accidently nicked the horn.

This put a smirk on my moms face, we both looked at each other like " dont do it, that, that would be so funny!"
I think I accidently leaned on the horn again and my dad jumped up and hit his head on the hood, my mom started laughing so loud she couldnt contain it. My poor dad almost had a heart attack.

Now I know why she did it. ( laughed out loud ) He would get so nervous and the house would get all lonely with him taking stress into our laps. She wanted to shake him up, to have a little fun. Sometimes I find myself stressing out on the kids when Im upset. And then I feel so bad afterwards.

Thanks for the reminder. The kids and spouse come first, always.
I guess our trouble tree could be planted in our mind and heart first for moms ( who dont go out ). Just imagine us leaving a lot for God, then focus on our duties. When we go back to think of them, I think they will be less.

Kids remember
