Moses wrote down Genesis and most of the first part of the Old Testament. after that there have been various authors whose works have been chosen to be included in the Bible.

as for your dream . . . I think you are sending a message to yourself. Consider yourself a source that you can trust.

By blessing the medicine you are "cleansing" the medicine of any impurities it may contain that might interfere w/your healing process. The custom of saying "grace" before a meal originally served this purpose in addition to thanking God for our nourishment.

I think you used the bible as a metaphor because you are telling yourself that this message is of/from God. We all have a direct connection w/God, whether we choose to acknowledge it or not.

Unless you had a bad feeling about the dream -- follow the advice you received in the dream.
