I don't buy into that, just because he chose the name Benedict doesn't mean he can manipulate the prophecy. There have been 15 Pope Benedicts before him, why wouldn't the prophecy have worked with them? Why? Because it's not just the name it has to be the right man as well, Benedict XVII might be the man or XVII ..... so on.
