Doing the traditional "candida" diet will keep your inner biological terrain prime for continued overgrowth and other bacteria, virus etc. Why? Reduce the total load enough through elimination and detoxification, correct nutritional deficiencies through diet and build an alkaline terrain the same way, and your body's innate wisdom will thank you by kicking back in and creating a homeostatic and harmonic health situation.
