Help for acne
I just wanted to put out there a few things that should help some people. I'm a 25 year old woman with VERY sensitive skin.... I've had all the troubles with all of the
Acne products imaginable and now I've done some research and come up with some great ideas from MANY different places ( a lot of them came from curezone, which I think is an AWESOME site ). I know that a lot of what I'm about to say is repetitive of things in this site, but I've seen some people posting the same old questions on this forum and thought I could possibly help someone that has gone through what I have.
1.
juicing is a big factor. I think that if someone would even skim through a book to see all the benefits of juicing, they would be ready to give it a shot. It's not nasty, I've gotten on a routine of watermelon/apple juice or grapefruit/apple juice, some other fruit drink in the morning and then when I come home from work I make a vegetable drink before dinner. If you only did carrot/apple juice it would be a huge benefit.... but the key is adding in some green vegetables (which, you don't even really taste because the apple is so sweet). I use foods that are specifically good for cleansing and the skin - it's done wonders for my face, my waistline, and my attitude and outlook on life. Of course, your diet should kind of follow suit. I personally eat a lot of raw foods and limit my carbs (limit, not exclude). I TRY and drink a lot of water, but it is little hard.
2. I take a multivitamin AND a b-complex pill AND a chromium pill daily. They aren't that expensive and it's not too hard to just remember to do it before you go to bed at night, or with a meal
3. I wash my face twice a day... use Noxema triple (antibacterial). I can't use any washes with any medicines in them as I'm very sensitive and they burn my face. I use witch hazel as a toner (and a cleanser sometimes that I am busy (very fast and very cooling) Once a day I try to use either the Queen Helen Mint mask or I have a honey/oatmeal scrub that I use as a mask. Both of them are naturally soothing and work great. Again, they aren't expensive.
4. If you are like me and are sensitive, and need a little help clearing your face before all of the above kick in.... I would request Azelex cream and Clindamycin gel from your doctor. Every other cream has made my face RED and peel like crazy (like nasty, I don't want to go to work, red and peeling....). You can use these topicals together and I have had no reaction. I am currently still using them because I'm still relatively new to my "lifestyle change", but am going to wean off of them soon.
Well, I hope that this might help one person ... postings like this have helped me on my path......
