Red/Blue Acne Light Therapy

Age : 32 Gender : Male Country : San Francisco, CA U.S.A Hi! I am a male, age 32 from San Francisco, CA. I was just wondering if anyone out there in cyberspace has tried the red/blue light therapy treatment for acne. I recently purchased the Happy Skin Acne Lamp from Verilux, Inc. and have used it for about three weeks now. I have mild to moderate acne in my facial area and in the first week of the light treatment it seemed to aggravate the acne even more. Is this normal????? It also seems to make my face extremely dry, but it may also be due to the fact that i'm using a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide lotion on my skin as well. Anyone out there with any insight on using over-the-counter medications with the red/blue light treatment? Should I stop with the benzoyl peroxide? In addition, the brown spots on my face appear to be more pronounced after a 15 minute session. Is this also normal???? On a more positive note, I do notice that my skin is less oily than it was before I used the lamp and it is also somewhat relaxing as well. Looking forward to any response regarding the red/blue or Clear Light acne treatment. Thanks!
