Re: Anyone hear about this WARNING ???

US FDA says:
"Additional investigation by FDA laboratories of the product "Chomper" revealed that it contained compounds characteristic of the primary glycosides found in the toxic plant Digitalis lanata. Analysis of the individual raw ingredients comprising the product "Chomper" indicated that the ingredient listed on the label as "plantain" was, instead, Digitalis lanata. Digitalis lanata leaves contain numerous cardiac glycosides including, among others, the precursor molecules of digoxin and digitoxin, potent medications available only by prescription in the United States."

They indicate that it may be a mislabeling of 'plantain' in the mix.

For people who have a history of heart issues, or who are on blood thinners or other type drugs or herbs, or in weakened conditions it may be a concern.

However, coming from the US FDA, with their fabulous history of helping American citizens get and stay healthy, and their exemplary record of supporting alternative and natural health care...

If you have reservations using it, there are other products which work, from many manufacturers and with a multitude of various ingredients (quite a few have been discussed here.) Also, you may want to contact the Arise and Shine manufacturers directly for their side of the story. Perhaps a batch got contaminated or some other explanation exists. We'd be interested in hearing their response.
