Those pictures are horrific!! It's very sad what those women must go through b/c the men want to keep them "in their place", and not challenge laws for women's rights!! It only hurts the whole country/state when they do that b/c by keeping the women of a country down you keep scientific and social advancement down. The reason is b/c the women teach the children how far they can dream, and what they are capable of doing. If she can only "see" so far, she will teach her children that, thus the country will not advance.

One of America's greatest things of the 20th century was giving women the right to vote and work.

Still, I don't think male and female circumcision is comparable. One, male, simply snips a retractable foreskin that doesn't significantly impair the male. But female circumcision actually cuts through tissue and muscle--big difference.
