I don't know what Dr. Rubin says about this but I've also read the same thing. The book called Body By God recommends the King, Prince, Pauper type method. Eat like a king for breakfast, like a prince for lunch and eat like a pauper for dinner. I've also read that your metabolism starts to slow down at night since it knows that it will starve for over 7 to 8 hours so eating at night for people looking to loose weight isn’t such a good thing.
I personally don’t see an issue with a snack like an apple or something but keep in mind that digestion could disturb your sleep as well. Tea and honey on the other hand might help you to sleep better and satisfy the craving.
