Re: Storing food

I have been trying to find portable but not plastic food storage. I take food to work for lunch everyday, and I bring a water bottle. Sometimes I bring food that needs to be heated in the microwave. I wish there were containers that had leak-proof lids but were ceramic or glass or whatever and were easy to carry and wash and use over and over.

I know that any plastic that has a number 1 on the bottom should not be reused at all. I was hoping Nalgene was ok. I looked on their website, but they don't even address the whole issue of plastic's ability to leech chemicals into your drinks. They only talk about how unbreakable it is.

Does anyone know of portable, safe, non-plastic food storage containers?
