Raw dairy spreading disease?

What do people know of the fact that Tuberculosis and other diseases have been spread by drinking raw dairy.

I was reading a little about it on the Price Weston site, but nothing to really assuage me that TB is spread through raw cow's milk. I guess if the cow is healthy...

I always wondered how people survived before pasteurization, if so many diseases can be had from raw milk.

How is TB introduced to cows and their milk, anyway?
