Re: Wave by Molly Bloom

Rio Grande is the premiere jewelry makers supply house. But they have equipment for a lot of stuff!

Here is their link:

http://www.riogrande.com/

They still don't have an on-line catalog, so you unfortunately have to BUY their catalog for $15, which will be refunded on your first order. That's bad for those who are not familiar with them, because you don't know if you'll want anything. The best thing is to try to find someone's catalog and look through it. Their catalogs are huge.

I got the Rio Grande rock tumbler. It's a pretty big capacity. Mine holds all the water, some have water filtration, which I didn't want because I wanted the glass to make it's own sanding slurry. I'm sorry, I just can't remember how much it cost, but I know it was over $100.

I know you can find rock tumblers all over the place, but you just have to make sure they are tough enough to have shreds of glass in them. A cheap one might cut up the holder in a hurry!

When I cut the glass, I cut in three different sizes, and have three different tubs of finished glass so that I can grab as I go.

I started out making small vessels until I figured out how the glue would work.
