Thank you very much. I enjoyed reading your response, and shall reread and email it to my friend in South Africa.

I especially like the Psalms 1 reference you made, and the perspective.

In addition to my true intent of learning from others the scriptural directives to educate children, I also wanted to see how much people actually knew about what they are doing with homeschooling.

I began to wonder when my sister allowed her son to go to high school from home schooling on the flimsy pretext of athletic extracurricular participation. I know she has legal knowledge, and has support groups. She must have known about the ability to join in athletics, plays, and other extracurricular activities. I never would have allowed him to go to school, but would have allowed him to join the teams, and then participated with him and them, so I may be very aware of what was occuring all around him.
