Re: Our pastor shot SANTA CLAUSE!
We have a television, but we don't have any programming cable or satelite. We don't need it, nor do we want to waste our money or time on it. Haven't had such a thing for 6 years. Having a computer is bad enough. (lol)
However we will rent movies on occasion, and have a family movie night. That way we get to choose the what we watch (put before our eyes) even then we have had to turn them off on occassion and I'll take them back to the movie store and trade them in. Probably highly annoying for the clerks, but at the same time have the time the ratings are incorrect. I'll get a PG marked movie to later find out just before it starts that it is rated "R".
It's interesting though when we fellowship with peers in our church or community how often the conversation will turn to television and the latest media spur or program. When we get asked for our input, it's funny to say we haven't a clue! Most people get that glazed eye look, wondering what is wrong with us.
Oh well...we can only be responsible for ourselves.
