And it seems to me the men that had more than one wife in the old days really had lots of troubles. Read the accounts for yourself, Soloman, Jacob, etc. God calls the elders in the new testement to be the husband of one wife as well. I don't see any examples of God supporting more then one wife in the gospels or by any of the letters written by Paul, John, James, etc.
