Being led by the Holy Spirit

"and I say, what if they don't understand wht they are being told? I am not saying the Word of the Lord is not powerful in it's pure form, but when we go assigning meanings and titles to 'denoiminations' and 'doctrines' that are not in the Word, that is where our human brothers and sisters get caught up. Why are we as a religion so preoccuppied to tie everything up with a nice little bow, to categorize what it is we believe? Why not just say the Words of God as they were spoken to us long ago, and leave it at that, when we are conversing with our sans religion brothers and sisters?
Does that make sense?"

That makes a lot of sense, and your questions are very valid.  However if we are led by the Holy Spirit and being obedient to His promptings He will give us the most appropriate words to use when speaking to anyone.  That is the main reason why the Holy Spirt was sent to comfort, lead and guide us in all the ways of the Lord.  The Holy Spirit knows how how to minister to anyone, He knows their hearts!  He knows if Christianeze will work or if every day slang will work.  That is why it is important to be led by the Holy Spirit in all we do, then we are walking in God's will for our lives and those around us.

Zechariah 4:6
Then he said to me, "This is what the LORD says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD Almighty
