"Christmas" was never intended to be about rushing around finding the perfect gift. Gifts are great, and a great way to share the gift of Jesus. But when you start being more concerned about gifts than you are about Jesus it becomes idol worship.
I posted some Christmas ideas etc. below a few days ago. Did you read them?
Christmas is an excellent holiday to celebrate the birth of our Saviour and to share the hope that He give to everyone!
