Re: Judge not...
Let me throw a monkey wrench in the system real quick.
Everything comes from God. Especially law
And i just want opinions here. I was in class tonight and my thoughts kind of drifted to this subject. I read your post Toonces and i understand what youre saying. However, i started to think about it deeply...prolly too deeply..LOL
And what i kept thinking was. Do we actually do the judging?....or do we actually just determine if a law was broken. My thoughts kept saying to me, God's word actually does the judging, not us. We simply decide if what was done was against God's word and what punishment goes with the circumstance. Although he is called a Judge and sits on a bench and wears a robe, does he/she really judge? or does this person merely decide if a law was broken and hands out the punishment alotted to fit the crime?
Didn't God's word say God put our Government there?
After all, all law derived from God one way or the other.
can we literally go by websters def. of Judge?
Can there be discernment without judgement?
Can there be judgement without discernment?
Is saying discrening judgement a redundant statement? (kididng)...LOL
Hmmmmmm....
anyway...i'm not saying anyone is wrong...just sharing some thoughts and hope you share some back, this kind of has me scratching my head.
Lets open the forum and get some feeback...this is intriguing to say the least.
Thanks
