Re: How do you know this works?
THanks, that was very helpful. The brand I used was Wally's parrafin candles. I bought them at GNC for $9 for pack of 2. At that price I certainly can't afford more than a couple treatments. I have a friend who sent me some website links to some cheaper candles but she hasn't tried them. I'd be interested to know what brand you use that you trust.
I do feel like I need to repeat several times because I have some pain coming back and feel the fluid moving around in there. Interestingly, I just quit smoking about 5 months ago.
On the Wally's website (someone sent me a link to let me know I was barking up the wrong tree) there's a FAQ page that states that the "earwax" and powdery substance are both wax from the candle, not from inside your ear. It says that ear candles don't remove earwax and there is no suction.
Once again, I have to say I felt the wax coming out of my ear and so did my daughter - she's only 6 and said that she felt pus coming out of her ear. No one persuaded her to say that and I hadn't mentioned that i felt something coming out so I feel that she said that because she really felt it. Furthermore, I don't think the pain relief I had last night and the obvious drainage her and I both had was due to a "placebo effect". Thank you for reinforcing my intuition.
