Re: I got a filling and afterwards started to have sensitive teeth...3 weeks later dentist says i need root canal.
Greetings all! I am totally new to this site, but recently had a
root canal performed on my rear top molar. The crown has not been put on yet, because a friend led me to this information regarding the effects of root canals. I am now gathering information to determine my next steps. Extraction sounded like a very viable solution, however, I have another
root canal right next to this one (done 20+ years ago) and questioned whether to do both. (It got less appealing when it became two teeth, leaving me with such a big empty space, plus the chewing on one side thing is not as appealing, if you have the option). However, the chiropractor I work with is very experienced in muscle testing and informed me that both teeth test positive for infection. The holistic dentist and the chiropractor both adivised
Antibiotics (which neither normally advocate), to see if that changed the situation. I am now on day 5 of those. I am also doing neti pot washes with salt and goldenseal, gum massage with Schulze's tooth & gum formula, brushing with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, doing high doses of vitamin C, some hot & cold therapy on the area, daily Superfood, Echinacea Plus, and visualizations of happy, healthy, infection-free gums, bones & teeth, along with large amounts of systemic enzymes. Anybody ever heard of this kind of approach? Has anybody ever gone from having bacteria to not and leading a very healthy life? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. Carolien, I am also in Austin. I am unaware of any holistic dentist practicing here in town. Who are you referring to?
Best wishes to all of you. I have read many of these submissions tonight, and there are many challenges being taken on.
Peace, Klyn
