I can't help but think that the SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) is 32 oz for a reason. Have wondered if maybe there are mechanics (so to speak) involved where the amount/weight is such that it pushes it's way right through. That is how it seems to work on me.
Let us know how you do on the 16 oz. and good luck.
