I am a self confessed carbo/sugar junkie as well as a borderline alcoholic (whatever that is). I'm on day 11 and have had NO cravings for any of the above -- I'm almost scared to come off of this program because it feels so good. I'm really prepping myself up for a healthy Diet -- though I'm going straight into the medifast program when I come off of this (to lose an additional 20 pounds). It's a medically supervised all liquid diet as well (like Oprah did at one time), so I shouldn't have any problems with it now that I'm all cleansed. I'm actually looking forward to it.
I'm beginning to believe it's all about habits and how the brain is programmed. If you do something day in and day out, you continue to do so until the behaviour changes. It takes 21 days to break a habit -- thus my goal for this fast. I pray that I never want to sit and eat 3 bagels at a sitting again!
