You need to take in more liquid, in my opinion. I drink 2l (2 quarts) of the juice everyday. Plus at least that in water. It helps with the energy.
On my first night, I didn't sleep either. Perhaps it was nervousness, excitement, lack of something... but if you are too cold to sleep, try a mini-workout before getting into bed. I do a bunch of jumping jacks or similar before getting into a cold sleeping bag camping in the rockies, I find it helps a lot. Might work for you?
