Re: Dental Implants and Bone Grafting

vkh,
I am trying to read your post carefully. If you only have swelling for 2 days, it is very reasonable. Now, do u actually feel pain or just discomfort? Pain is not normal if it is persistent. But what do u mean by discomfort? If it is just the lip feel stiff, or the surgical site feels swollen, then it is normal and will disappear. If it is the flipper, then it is something u have to get used to it until the crowns are placed. Your dentist may reline the flipper to make it more comfortable. Implant crowns are wonderful and are very durable, but there is a waiting period (usually about 4-6months), which you need to patient. If u have any concern, talk with your periodontist and he/she will be able to help u.
