Is it really a gallstone problem?

My doctor has informed me that I have Gallstones upon doing an ultrasound and that I need my gallbladder removed. I initially went into the office with nausea, vomiting and lower abdominal pain. The nausea has been continuous for about 3 months now. I don't think that my pain is because of the gallstones. My pain is a constant dull pain in the lower abdomen/pelvic area, left and right side and in my lower back. I feel heavy in the uterus area. Sharps pains occur occasionally on the right side. I have no pain in the upper right abdomen area, the pain does not occur after a meal, I'm 34 years old and 116 lbs, I don't have digestive problems....The surgeon said that I'm not a typical patient but my problem is because of the gallstones. Does anyone have similar symptons and it is because of Gallstones or gallbladder disease?
