flutina, sounds like your mom is constipated. Have her do a coffee enema with 3 cups of strong black coffee. Ask her to lie on her right side and hold the fluids for 15 minutes before releasing them all. Don't expect her bowel movements to normalize instantly, but it is a great start. In a few days, she'll be moving more normally. Give her a juice of carrots, parsley and Celery for dinner, before 6PM. If she can get used to it, that is all she needs for the night. She should be asleep by 8 or 9PM. I doubt it is the loss of blood, she would have recovered by now.
