Extremely bad spider bite

I woke up last Wenedsday morning, and noticed a bump on my butt....I scratched it, and next thing I knew watery stuff was leaking out of it. I had no idea what it was, and its in a spot I cannot easily see without a mirror. I went to school, and by the end of the day, it felt like a huge blister, it was hard in spots and became very painful. When I got home, I looked at it, and noticed a red swollen area an inch or so in diameter, with a tiny round scab in the middle. For the next four days, it stayed about the same, although the pain was almost unbearable because everytime I sat down it would irritate it. The entire area burned very badly, and it still had hard spots in it.

Finally, after trying every home remedy imaginable, Saturday I decided to go to the doctor because it hadn't gotten any better, though not any worse. The doctor told me it was some kind of bite, but she couldn't tell me what. She said it was badly infected, and put me on Augmentin...a strong antibiotic.

24 hours after starting the Antibiotics , the bite began to swell like a crater, and the tiny scab started growing. The wound began to leak a mixture of pus and blood. The scab grew to a dime size, and large amounts of pus and blood leaked out of it constantly. This was constant from then till Tuesday night. It was still leaking, but the blood was dark so I guess there wasn't as much pus coming out.
Today, the swelling has finally gone down, the wound is still leaking blood, but not quite as badly. The pain has subsided mostly compared to what it was, but now the scab has come off, and there is a hole about 2cm's deep into the wound.
I live in Texas, does anyone know what this could have been? I am thinking it might have been a brown recluse, though I'm afraid I might have been bitten in bed
