Re: Grinding teeth/braces?

yes! i had terrible grinding and would wake up with jaw cramps. what was happening was my top teeth were pushing to the left and my bottom were slightly pushing to the right. so my teeth were constantly wearing un evenly and at night my jaw could of been trying to straiten itself and that resulted in the grinding.
(what my ortho told me)

another benefit is i got less headaches and i breathe thru my nose instead of my mouth too.

and then you also just feel better about how you look. it totally changes the way your bottom half of your face looks. it made everything more relaxed looking.
i think its the best thing i have ever done. if you do get them make sure that you clean very very very well under the brackets in the back and stay away from dark drinks and caffine. dark drinks stain and caffine leaches calcium out of your body. you do not want that when your roots are shortening and regrowing in the proper position or you may lose a tooth.(root reabsorbtion)

my parents wouldnt pay for mine so i went to an ortho that i made 89$ payments every month when i went in for adjustments. i think Sears has a program like that.
