Oh, my goodness.
I am doing major damage control from being on the Atkins Diet. Yes, I lost weight, but gained it all back plus 10
pounds when I started eating regularly again. Having deprived my brain of proper (yeah, it's a good idea to cut out fake carbs like white flour and sugar--any diet would tell you that) carbohydrates, I made some of the worst decisions in my life. I was a walking zombie. The meat eating created cravings for
Sugar (see macrobiotics and yin/yang foods) which turned me into a wino. I had zero fruit sugars, which I see now are essential to life and health. I could go on and on...yeah, look for the person who looks like a zombie, heh heh! I know one lady who looks dead, she's been Atkinsing so long. I know a lady who was on it for like six months. Her cholesterol went through the roof. Also, in Intro Biology you learn that ketosis is a diseased state. You are dying by degrees. Also, I know a nurse who says that a lot of her patients suffering from renal failure are low carbers. The ONLY diet in my opinion is a plant based diet which alkalinises your body. If you want to get rid of parasites, candida, etc, you are welcoming them home with that diet. Juice fasting is good for health, plus you would lose weight. Eat less and eat raw foods!
