You don't have to drink decaf green tea! Green tea has caffeine in a very safe, balanced form, so drink away! :)
And you can drink coffee mixed with chicory so it has less caffeine. It also helps to add something spicy to the coffee, like cayenne, this makes it better for you. It's also good to avoid milk and Sugar with the coffee.
Some people do fine with coffee, believe it or not. It's just the constant overdosing that gets them into trouble. Kinesiology will help you deduce whether coffee is appropriate for you.
Astringent fruits are fine. Apples, pears, berries. My favorite breakfast is the Protein Shake (check my FAQ for the recipe). I also like eggs in any form, or for variety I get out some ground turkey and fix that. I also like hot cereal - there are many gluten-free hot cereals that you can enjoy even on a candida diet. Bob's Red Mill and Lunbergh's has several very tasty and easy to cook ones.
