Re: The 1st Step in Healing - Cease & Desist! :)
Shelly --
I have systemic candida -- including thrush, ear itching, rash, toenail fungus, vaginitis, joint pain, foginess, etc., etc.
2 questions on your "list" as it relates to candida. One, I've seen different viewpoints on use of yogurt (I eat only plain organic, no sugar, etc.) and candida. While it is obviously a "dairy product" & on the "banned" list of most candida diets, others have it on the "approved" list of candida foods, as it supplies the "good" bacteria that otherwise are recommended in supplement form for candida.
Also, I feel my candida has come about primarily as a result of my love of caffeine. While I loooove coffee, I switched to green tea for a long time. However, green tea DOES contain caffeine, and since I made it fairly strong (specifically to get that "wake-up" caffeine effect), I suspect it contributed just as much to my candida spread as the coffee. While I'd love it if green tea were OK, as several candida diet sites say/approve, I really don't think it is OK. Your comment?
