Shelley I bought some high-lignan flax powder from Omega which I used instead of Psyllium for shakes and it worked great.
After I ran out I tried to grind up my own - only the powder isn't as fine, and more importantly it doesn't "mix" fully with water - it sinks to the bottom. Any idea what is going on? Is it just a matter of grinding it finer?
Are flax shakes supposed to be gelatinous (like psyllium) or not?
