Well, this ol maverick is gonna go out on a limb and say that Georges was a true-blue devoted man and a very charismatic teacher and really knew how to stir up new ideas.
I'd also say that especially for a newcomer, reading Georges can be a pastime that really respects macro tradition and history. But for a day to day practice book, oh my my... I tried living by Georges's diet and yikes!

So sure, it can have a place of honor on the bookshelf, but my hope is that for daily living you can explore some gentle affirming supportive books about cooking and life. People have named several of them here.

So you have access to those too, I hope!
