Re: Also...
(I'm replying to both threads, I guess.)
I put a finger over the opening in the bottle, and tipped it to get a tiny smear of the oil on my finger.
Then I rubbed the smear into the 'bowl' around the openings to the ear canals, but NOT IN the ear canal, itself. I did this once a day, usually in the evening when I settled to watch TV, and thought about hearing.
I also usually massaged my external ears a bit with the traces of oil on my fingers.
Molly, everyone, I must emphasize that this was entirely experimental, and that I didn't dilute the oil in any way. My bottle may have been less than fresh, and so have been somewhat diminished in strength. I HAD NOT SEEN THE SUGGESTION TO DILUTE HELICHRYSUM ESSENCE WITH GOAT'S OR RICE MILK, UNTIL YESTERDAY.
Please use great good judgement in using any product, especially on sensitive skin.
Actually, diluting an expensive product could help with the cost, couldn't it?
A person could touch a tiny drop of the essence on a saucer with a small ball of cotton wool (packing from a bottle of vitamins), and then touch the ball to a drop of rice milk, and work the two substances together in the cotton - before applying a little of the dilute mixture to the outer ear.
Err on the side of caution, my friends. You can always change the mixture on future applications, once you are familiar with the substance. But, I would NEVER put anything INTO the ear canal, itself!!! (...Unless recommended by experts. I am not an expert!)
