I, too, tested positive for epstein barr virus years ago. It is my understanding that epstein barr is a very common virus that most folks in the US contract and develop immunity to as a result of having the virus when young. So most of us have had it and developed immunity to it.
I, unfortunately, have CFIDS and it is thought that the immune dysfunction associated with it somehow reactivated the epstein barr virus and that is why I tested positive for it. CFIDS has a complex matrix of varying symptoms, some of which could explain your odd assortment of symptoms, especially if fibromyalgia is involved.
However, as for herpes, please do get another test.
