Need some help here - Strange happenings

Had unprotected sex with girlfriend after one year of using condoms and a week later had itching on the inside of both thighs which few days later developed into red patches of raised skin. I became very ill and had tingling and sticking pains in the palm of hand and on the bottom of my feet, hot flashes, memory problems, muscle twitching and blood flow problems which has caused hemmoroids as well as funny sensations at the back of my thigh and upper arm. My girlfriend would sometimes complain about funny sensations running up her leg. A year later she was diagnosed with herpes and staph so I also did the test and came back negative for herpes but positive for epstein barr. Her epstien barr test showed exposure to the virus but she was considered negative.

Here is my question. It is said that virus protect themselves by using bacteria and fungus as a sheild. Is it possible that she gave me the virus because I was exposed to large amount of bacteria and fungus in which the virus was hiding. Since her immune system is doing a pretty good job killing the virus it would cause a low reading on the tests and I am positive since my immune system is weak giving me a high reading. Could I be also positive for herpes. I plan to do another test.
