The herpes virus is very fragile and dies within minutes, I would say if what you have is herpes it would be highly unlikely it was from the bedsheet. Only 20 % (give or take a few) of people with herpes have symptoms, so most people who have it don't know. That said, When I caught it, I didn't see my bf that often since I lived in a different town, so I know the day I caught it. and I started having trouble peeing withing hour(s) not long, I forget the exact time since it was 6 years ago, but a few hours at most, I thought it was cause of friction, but turned out it was herpes.
