Yes, in MOST people the first one is the worst but it's not a rule. With herpes almost any thing is possible. Some people get very mild outbreaks that they don't know it's herpes for a long time until for some reason they get a noticeable one. But yeah you can pretty much tell the first is the worst as your body hasn't had a chance to develop the anti bodies and with time it learns how to fight the virus better.
Just go and see the doc and try not to obsess if you can. Still there's a lot of things that could cause your symptoms for sure.
