Most likely the tanning did bring out the coldsore, because cold sores respond to heat and light on the lips. So for now your probably fine, however, it's something that you'll need to keep in mind. Also, sounds like she needs to be educated on the subject because she DOES have a virus and she CAN spread it to others.
