So for the example of valtrex, one can ask the doctor for 1 GM, and spit the tablet into two at each takings. And take 500 mg or 1 Genetically-Modified as needed if the dosage is for 500mg or 1 gram. However, not every insurance charged by the number of tablets, my plan of Blue Cross charged by how many grams ordered, so that brochure might be an innovative idea only. It even explain on how to split by suggesting one can just chew at the center to split a pill to half and half. It continue to explain on what tablets size can be split and what cannot, capsule is not to be splitted.

Anyways, that brochure gave me an idea that for any brave fellow dare to try. You can find a pair of good scissors or bite the 1 gram of valtrex into 20 % and 80% to try. I dare not try yet. In the past, I did splitted 1 gram of blue oval valtrex into 2, but I found a lot of powder is out on my paper towel, so I try more than a day.
