Yes they can last as long as you have stated! I have had the virus for 5 years and my most recent outbreak lasted 2 weeks! I have no clue as to why but it did and it was one of the most painful outbreaks I had experienced in the past five years.

Do you sleep with panties on? When you have outbreaks be sure NOT to. This lets the area breath and I find heal faster. Otherwise it's almost as if the heat makes it fester.

My OB's are usually always in different places. I have had them on my inner thigh, left labia, right labia, around my anus and around my belly button. I have never had an OB inside as you were explaining? You may want to ask your doctor about that!

Be sure to research the virus so you have an understanding what doesn't help, what you should eat, etc......
