Scalp
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for this very supportive forum. I was sure I had contracted the herpes virus 2 years ago, but after 3 negative blood tests, my doctors convinced me it was folliculitis, yeast, pimples. But yesterday I went to my gynecologist determined to show her exactly what I thought was herpes, and sure enough, after no treatment for 2 years, that's what it is. It just shows that we know our bodies and should trust our instincts, even if "professionals" act as if we are being paranoid. I am dealing much better with the information than I would have two years ago, as I am more connected to myself, have much nicer friends, and would not judge myself in a way I would have back then. It is wonderful to read about all the successful treatments on here and see how seriously everyone takes their health. I do have a question for anyone who might know about this. Everytime I get a breakout in the gential area, it is accompanied with tingling on my scalp. I've never had a lip sore (I don't think), but I'm sure there is a connection between my genital outbreaks and the tingling on my scalp. SOres do not develop there, just tingling. What is this? Does anyone else experience it? Is it contagious? And if it is a scalp outbreak, is it safe to use DMSO in it. I am an actress, so I have to be in close quarters with people for my work. The last thing I want to do is put someone at risk for a virus that might be shedding off my scalp! The doctors I've spoken to seem to know next to NOTHING about this. I'm hoping for insights. Thanks a lot for reading and for your support. All the best.
