You can never be sure. I do have to say that I am proud of you for over looking that she has HSV-2, very man of you. So here's the deal, most people pass the virus to another when they have no symptoms present. The reason being is that the virus may still be active in the genital area but simply have not come to the surface. The transmission of this diesease gets passed around b/c people think the way you did; "If it's not there now then I am safe." And you are right, condoms don't fully protect you. The only thing you can do is do everything that you possibly can to keep her virus dormant and therefore untransmitable. Make sure she's drinking coconut milk, taking Vitamins E & C, taking zinc twice daily, taking Lysine 3 times a day, and most importantly staying healthy to keep her immune system strong. See the virus becomes active when the it detects a chance to overpower the immune system. So make sure she eats right and excercises to keep her system strong. Other than that you really can't do anything except maybe Valtrex...good luck and be safe. Remember, you may REALLY like the girl but doesn't mean you're gonna marry her. Be careful as if she gives it to you then down the road you may give it to someone else.....
