Thank you so much!
Your post is exactly what I needed. As I mentioned before, there's not a lot of chance that I'll become severely anorexic, because I don't mind when I'm a little bigger, but for purposes of being competitive (as you alluded to with the athelete comparison), you do have to take a more extreme approach sometimes. Actually, what you described, while extreme, is not nearly as unhealthy as what a lot of girls do to themselves to lose weight. Your plan is actually healthier than what I usually do, which is eat 1 bag of popcorn a day and do no exercise. That's how I've lost weight the past two years for the competition, but this time, I really want to feel good & look better than ever. Your post was so encouraging, and I really, really appreciate it. I feel so much more motivated now!!! Would you suggest morning exercise or evening exercise, if I were going to the gym? I will probably get the pilates tape that you mentioned, and do that, hopefully in addition to time at the gym every day. My biggest problem has been laziness, but like you said, I just have to will myself to do it. I'll be glad when I get more used to exercise. It's not bad once you get started, but the getting started part is tough for me. I do wish I had friends like you, who have the same mind-set & goals as myself. I actually have few girlfriends, because they usually are very draining & want to chit-chat when I'd rather be focusing on what I need to do. I'll keep posting about my progress. Today I'm trying not to eat anything. I've had a cup of coffee, water, & a glass of juice with green powder mixed in. If I get weak or dizzy I'll eat a banana. I'm going to hit the gym this evening. Keep us posted about yourself as well. Anyway, thanks again! You're a HUGE (bad choice of words? LOL) help!!!!!!
