In the above quote the poster was suggesting that the media needs to mention which eating disorder Terry Shiavo had, that people are being mislead by the term "eating disorder". There is nothing misleading about using the term "eating disorder" as the poster suggests there is. People with eating disorders often compare and compete in their disorders and the idea of naming the specific disorder just reinforces that competition. Maybe that isn't what the poster had in mind, but I think it's a point worth making. Actually, statiscally anorexia is more dangerous but many women have more than one disorder or go through phases of different disorders. Eating disorders are all damaging to the body.
